On the occasion of June 05 International Environment Day, under the leadership of 
Mr. S. Jegarajan Sir, Karaitivu Divisional Secretary and Chairman of Karaitivu Green Village 
Association, a sapling planting event was held in Karaitivu-09 section in the area near the 
mouth of the cut drain.

In this event, Karaitivu Divisional Secretariat Assistant Divisional Secretary 
Mr. S. Pardeepan Sir, Divisional Secretariat officials, village servants, Medical Officer of 
Health, Senior Public Health Inspector and Health Inspectors,Officers and employees of
 Karaitivu Pradeshiya Sabha, Karaitivu Police Station officers and members of 
Karaitivu Green Club participated.
